This is the Place Heritage Park Field Trip

We're so excited for our upcoming field trip! The students have been preparing by sharing with the class about their first ancestors to come to Utah. Many of them came with some of the first pioneer companies to enter the valley. Some came later, and we're excited to learn about how the Mormon pioneers in Utah started a rich cultural heritage that has been added to and enriched by many others as Utah has developed. Our field trip will be Monday, April 14. We'll be leaving the school at 11:30 and returning around 2:30. The students will learn about what life was like crossing the Great Plains and how pioneers lived when they arrived in the Salt Lake Valley. They will learn about what pioneers ate, how they got their water, how they farmed and grew food, what types of tools they used, what their schools were like, etc. We are excited for this great experience! If any parents would like to join us, we would love to have you accompany us. We look forward to seeing you!
